My favourite tune of the moment...

M.I.A. 'Paper Planes.'

...making major inroads in the U.S. too.

Surely her time is now...loving that Clash sample as well...

It is an absolute belter of a tune, I don't understand why it has been remixed so many times all inferior to the single version.

have to confess, I haven't heard any of the remixes yet, but glad someone else out there likes it...

Fantastic tune, the re-released version has the gun shots removed from it.Its all over the new Seth Rogen film,Pineapple Express.Shame the Americans keep refusing her access into the country.

oh, this tune keeps spinning round me head since someone chose it for the contrast podcast quite some time ago: a belter of a song and the fact that the singer looks so damn attractive makes it even more worthwile, i just figured out! i herewith strongly deny what i said upon the previous post: there ARE good songs in 2008 which are absolutely comparable to those in 1978 ... and i'm willing to have a small bet that i will still love 'paper planes' in 2038 ... if i live that long ...

I am not a fan of remixes, however I have to say that it's worth checking out Esau Mwamwaya's adaption It is amazing. Check him out on myspace.

I am one of these old farts (over 40) and my kids introduced me to this song. It's one of these songs that can join the Clash and 21st century generations. Nothing like having the soccer mom's driving with their kids blasting Paper Planes and singing at the top of your lungs!

I'm going to have to check out those remixes, aren't I?

Good to see that this is clearly one of those songs that's connecting with people...
