A wet Friday night

...in Edinburgh.

Delighted to be home with Mrs. 17 Seconds,
frustrated that the boiler has broken down again.
Fed up with trying to motivate a handful of students.
Ecstatic that there's week until I'm on holiday.

On nights like these I just want to crawl into bed and sleep...

But there's music to keep my spirits up as ever. I spent years trying to get hold of this at an affordable rate, did people really pay £7 for a CD single ten years ago? I shure as heck didn't...

Laptop -'End Credits.' mp3

Whaddya mean, holidays? We need them to deal with the stress and catch up on sleep!!

Oh, and as for The Old Me vs The New You... I think it is the same vocalist (check this link: http://uk.launch.yahoo.com/l_reviews_a/20340.html)

That tune was so good, i ordered the album last night.
The weather was the same in the west, dreicht as my dad would say.
My night consisted of listening to a heavily pregnant wife snoring, while trying to read Atlantic Ocean by Andrew O'Hagan and supping a bottle of Vina Sol, could life get any more exciting.

And they say posting tracks on the internet means people don't buy it...

Only O'Hagan book I have read is Personality (is that meant to be Lena Zavaroni?!)

As for life not getting any mor exciting, I have been waiting all day for the sodding boiler repair man* to turn up 'between 1 and 6. Still, am re-reading Mark E.Smith's autobiography and listening to The Fall, it could be worse.

*well, I'm assuming man, there is not reason why a woman couldn't do it, but the boiler has never been fixed by a woman whilst I've been living here, just in case any wannabe Lorena Bobbit's are reading this!

Yeah, End Credits is a fantastic song. Never got round to buying any Laptop albums, but every song on the End Credits mini album (6 songs?) is brilliant.

Blimey, completely forgot about this song, I always remember it getting played on Xfm when it started. It's also triggered a long forgotten memory of seeing Laptop live, I think it was at the Garage in London...

Great to hear it again!

Cheers

just listened to this. Fabulous... would buy more but the RBS cashline in Ullapool ate my bank card so my iTunes account won't work till I get my new card through the post.... ho hum

Ullapool guitar festival was fantastic but a different sort of experience from most of 17 Seconds Land (well I'm listening to Fantastic Life just now which is not very Ullapool at all but that's the wonder of music.... ramble ramble)
