Let's forget it's a wet sunday afternoon...
...and dance to one of the few indie novelty songs.
I have next to no idea who a Tribe Of Toffs were (were they a tribe? Were they Toffs?(Is that word now really, genuinely offensive? Toff, not Tribe, obviously). I did see John Kettley and other assorted broadcasters on TV last night, on the Weakest Link, so we all started singing this.
A Tribe Of Toffs -'John Kettley (Is A Weatherman).' mp3
As one hit wonders go, a bit different, and quite fun, really...

A Tribe Of Toffs won me an evening's free drinks once, as I was the only person in the pub that could name the band when the DJ put on this song.
Even though I still love the song, that alone will always make them a favourite of mine :)
I'll bet.
makes you wonder how that got to be a Top 40 hit, yet 'preposterous tales' by I, Ludicrous, wasn't.
Ah well...
I was in the same sixth form as this lot they always had the girls after them just because they'd been down to that London & been on Wogan.Rubbish song
Ah...you always think it's going to be fair in love and war. It isn't.
Mind you, twenty years on, are you still mad at them?!
A seminal moment from my youth that I'd completly forgotten about!
I was twelve when this came out, even the kids at my school who weren't really into music loved this.
