New Prodigy Track

One of the biggest let-downs of the decade has got to be The Prodigy's Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned LP. But on the strength of this free track they've released, hopefully they're back firing on all cylinders.

I'm not going to say that this is the best thing they've ever done - but it's pretty much the best thing I've heard them do in over a decade. This is the title track from their new album, the tracklisting and more info can be found here.

Thank you Web Sheriff. Do you think you could persuade them to send me a promo copy of the album?

AONO wasn't that bad, was it? 'Girls', 'Spitfire' and 'Hotride' were fantastic... Then again anything would've sounded relevatory after 'Baby's Got A Temper'. New track's a goodie, glad the Powers that Be appreciate your posting it as much as the rest of us for once!

I know, I was very surprised, maybe the music industry is realising that blogs are a force for good. Mind you, I still haven't forgiven Glasvegas...

Am I happy that they've returned to a tried and tested formula?

Prodigy tracks should by law contain...

*dirty guitar loops,
*one line of repeated vocal sample,
*frightening synths,
*something that sounds like a chainsaw being operated, even if it only lasts for a fraction of a second.

Check on all items.

Some bands just have to accept the AC/DC philosophy and churn out similar sounding records to please their audience. This track had me bouncing around the front room like the mid-nineties stuff did. Don't experiment, Liam. Stick with what you're very good at.

that sounds like a result and a half! Ed
