Time has not been an ally lately for me either. Hope you get everything squared away and look forward to your postings again soon!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06889819193032305411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31163503.post-84568007982079603452008-04-19T09:58:00.000+01:002008-04-19T09:58:00.000+01:00It's funny to think that bands like that are reach...It's funny to think that bands like that are reaching more people now because of the internet than they ever did before. I've always known some pretty obscure bands, either cos of John Peel and similar late night radio shows or browsing every music paper I could lay my hands on. But I know people who would never ever have heard of some of these people, and who listen to really weird stuff now because they find it online. 20 years ago they were the sort of people who thought U2 were alternative you know..now it's all weird psych folk and odd random indie tunes....it's good!Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05163017415448622471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31163503.post-72998759542855835692008-04-19T09:17:00.000+01:002008-04-19T09:17:00.000+01:00A.J. -thought these songs might be up your street!...A.J. -thought these songs might be up your street! Not an authority on these songs, investigated because several of them made Peel's Festive Fifty

Simon -had forgotten Ed Ball was in them. My main memory of him is doing a song with the title of 'The Mill Hill Self-Hate Club.'
TVP, along with The Fall and Half Man Half Biscuit one of those ultimate cult bands.Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14243538543550888272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31163503.post-18138205065839423962008-04-19T09:12:00.000+01:002008-04-19T09:12:00.000+01:00Funnily enough I was talking about the TVPs the ot...Funnily enough I was talking about the TVPs the other day. Ed Ball went on to form The Times, who are just sitting here next to my computer waiting to be uploaded for a post. He also was one of the bigwigs at Creation Records as well.

Hmmm....*starts typing*Simonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05163017415448622471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31163503.post-44200475612527310632008-04-18T23:31:00.000+01:002008-04-18T23:31:00.000+01:00work interfering with life? don't get me started, ...work interfering with life? don't get me started, it's been one of those weeks alright, still, half a bottle of jack and a tasty curry and all is right, and it's back to packing my worldly goods tomorrow, another winner of a post, love the league and the tv personalities, never liked anti-pasti for some reason. The reaction to the leagues version of ralph's streets of london was drowned out in a flurry of righteous squawking regarding the infamous b-side, is this the only record to be banned on the grounds of it's b-side?
A.JAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
